| Kzinti's Full Review: Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live! Value Sound Card |
The Sound Blaster Live Value card is the perfect sound card for the computer audiophile, it has CD quality sound, and a great set of software.
When having quality trouble recording wav files, it was suggested that I upgrade from the Sound Blaster 16 sound card that was otherwise serving me well. This upgrade opened a whole new world of PC sound recording. The card has a software bundle that when coupled with the high quality evolves the common PC into a sound studio complete with effects, and sound on sound recording. With all those features, and the low price I truly find it hard to believe that any other sound card can measure up.
On the down side, one must remember to set the software to a single file playback mode when using the computer in an environment where more than one sound file may be triggered at a time. Not making the setting change can be annoying when listening to one sound file, and something setting a second file to play due to the doubling effect of hearing both files at once.
