Mixman studio mac has become one of my favorite pasttimes. Even though I really don't exibit my new mixes in any conventional way, I do love this program!
The screen shot gives you a good idea of how to work the controls. The program is a mixer which allows you to choose from 16 tracks at a time. The software comes with an extensive track library not to mention the tracks available online. The eight tracks on the right are controlled by the right keypad. The ones to the left are controlled by these:

the counter on the bottom of the screen counts out eight four-beat measures for you, making it a lot easier to feel the groove.
I can spend hours making new mixes, and when I'm done, I can export the finished tracks as professional-quality Mp3s, WAVEs or AIFFs.
There is only one problem. Mixman is a real memory guzzler. Even though the box says that it only requires 34 MBs of memory and preferably 64, I had to upgrade to 96 MBs before the program would run.
