I just purchased an Apple PowerMacintosh G4/400. This machine is the most amazingly fast computer I have ever had the privilege to sit down with. My first processor smoking task (or so I thought) was to scan a 300MB image into Photoshop and then do a complex radial blur. From the moment I began scanning, to when Photoshop had finished running the filter, 3 minutes had elapsed. I have never seen anything that could remotely compare with the shear unadulterated computing power of the G4. If you do any sort of graphics work, there is no alternative. I find little wonder in the fact that the government has classified it as a weapon. It shouldn't be long before we have to fill out a history check to own one.
If that wasn't incentive enough, the fact that the computer is beautiful (yes, I just used the terms "beautiful" and "computer" in the same sentence while keeping a straight face). The graphite case is a stunner, and much more attractive than the bondi blue of the G3. Pair it with the StudioDisplay and every time some enters your office they cannot help themselves but to stroke it.
