I actually wrote epinions to get this item in here to be reviewed. This motherboard isn't the answer for ultra power and speed. I upgraded a friend on mine to this motherboard and these are the problems that we found. The first motherboard had a malfunction that causes the mouse keyboard, serial ports to not function. The retailer said that they had many reports of this kind of problem. Second, the next motherboard that we got worked but needed a bios upgrade right out of the box. The original bios will not detect a secondary primary IDE, if you are using the Ultra DMA 100 connector. And now to mention the connecter. Make sure to have the drivers for this thing if you upgrade to Windows 2000, you need to load the drivers while setting up for an install. If you don't do this, Windows will not recognize your hard drive. Now to get a bit picky, the power and LED light don't work on the board we received. There are also complaints all over about heating problems. Well, we got it up and running with the most recent bios, it seems to be working fine; but every once and awhile windows has trouble with the hard drive on boot up. Please do the research before buying this board. There is a good chance that something better exists.
