Well, it's not bland...

Pros: Handling, power, distinctive styling
Cons: Ugly styling, no third row
For two decades Mitsubishi has been striving establish an identity for itself in the American car market. Not succeeding, it has had to move the metal using low prices, high incentives, and easy credit. Its latest strategy to cut through the automotive ...

Nice attempt but fades before competition

by gottum_m , Feb 23 '04
Pros: Car like smooth ride. Comfortable interior. Ample cargo space.
Cons: Pricey for the packed features. Fades before competition that might affect resale value.
Americans love large vehicles. That used to be the saying which is now changing towards Americans love trucks. No wonder Ford has been selling all those truck and truck based vehicles big time for now. Realizing the fact little late, Japanese automakers ...

Somewhat pricey, more like a tall station wagon than an SUV

by davegulliksen , Jan 06 '04
Pros: lots of features, comfortable, safe, moderately peppy
Cons: Poor rear visibility at night, small cargo area, pricey
I just bought a Mitsubishi Endeavor after shopping for a week when my 14-year old Sable station wagon finally became too problematic to keep. I would have bought another Sable except that the current design has very poor visibility. We needed a vehicle ...

An excellent SUV, but fails to hit the spot.

by kavikas , Mar 17 '04
Pros: Refinement, ride, handling, fit/finish,power, gas mileage.
Cons: Exterior looks, recommended premium fuel, high MSRP.
Enter the all new 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor, a midsize SUV that fits nicely between Mitsubishi's other two SUV's: the awkward Outlander, and the bulky/clunky looking Montero/Montero Sport. Although this was a rental I drove; and me being a good judge on ...

Estimated Fuel Use-> 2WD (City/Highway): 17/23 AWD (City/Highway): 17/21 Versions of This Car-> ENDEAVOR LS: Black bumper caps, body side moldings, sideview mirrors and door handles, the LS appears raw and rugged. Equip that with a ...

by ashwinearl , Dec 06 '04
Pros: best value out there, awesome engine, roomy, comfy ride, tip-tronic shifting
Cons: No 3rd row, funky center console, poor rear visibility, low hanging rear suspension
2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor XLS review Nutshell A Certified Pre-Owned 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor with low miles is the hands down absolute best value in its class. Background We are a family of 4 with two boys 4 and 6. We had an absolute base ...

Love my car! Great for Family of 4!

by roxilie , Dec 22 '04
Pros: Roominess in front/back Ease of controls Perfect medium between big SUVs and small ones
Cons: Trunk space a little limited
The best part of this SUV is not the hot design of the exterior, or the really cool interior, but it was the price I was able to get! I saved 1/3 of the price by buying this car less than a year old, and it had under 7K miles on it! The front seats ...

The Perfect SUV for a family of 5

by dcmix , Sep 10 '04
Pros: Finally a Perfect SUV. Handles like a luxary sedan. Its faster than i need.
Cons: The LS stereo is barely powerful enough.
Let me start by saying years ago I traded in my Ford Probe that I loved dearly because my daughter and I were marrying a mom with 2 kiddies. SO my 2 exploded to 5. So in 1998 I bough my first Montero Sport. Liked it fine, just hated the white finish. In ...

Worth the Wait

by tartallini2 , Apr 18 '04
Pros: Torque, cabin comfort, quiet cabin, car-like ride, 100,000 mile drivetrain warranty
Cons: Premium gas is recommended. Silver toned dash. Smallish cargo area compared to competitors.
I have test driven the Mitsubishi Endeavor (LS and XLS models) twice now, and I'm just waiting a bit before buying. I currently own a 98 GMC Jimmy, and was sold on the 03 Explorer or the Toyota 4Runner as the vehicles to replace it until I DROVE the ...

Great SUV for the price

by luckyjedi , Jan 27 '04
Pros: -Unique style -Carlike ride -Price
Cons: -lack of compartments -no option for navigation system -no standard AWD
This Car is suppose to be a new breed of crossover utility vehicles but unlike the nissan murano and the highlander it keeps more of a sports utility look. The look is unique and very subjective for each person. Its design has some strong lines to it and ...

Buy it used!

by brendap1 , Nov 18 '04
Pros: Easy to drive, large dash, great storage, roomy interior.
Cons: Mediocre gas mileage, have to lift higher to use trunk.
We bought a used 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor from Enterprise Rent-A-Car for $7k below the posted MSRP (about $25k). Perfect for the cost! We had to replace our 1995 Buick Century Wagon. If you've never seen a BC Wagon, it has great, really great storage ...

Pros: Great styling, Brand Spanking New, Nice sound system
Cons: No 3rd Row, Sunroof and ABS brakes standard only on Limited models
We just picked up this car and we absolutely love it! It handles like a dream, looks very stylish, and drives more like a car than a SUV. The center LCD console is pretty cool and high-tech, and the Infinity sound system really rocks! There is ample ...

Soccer Dad found his SUV. No Remorse!
by nickeyd ,May 17 '04
Pros: Gas mileage, size, ride.
Cons: compartments, LCD display a little hard to read
We looked at the Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander and 4Runner, Mitsubishi Sport and Endeavor. We bought the 2WD XLS w/sunroof and ABS. We were trading out of a 1999 4WD Suburban LT and wanted better gas mileage while not giving up safety and too much square footage. This was the only one in the bunch to give us the ride and some of the room we had in the Suburban. Honda and Toyota had a 3rd seat but it was chore getting in and out. The Endeavor had a smooth ride and my two girls are sitting together in comfort. AC is cold, stereo is great, mileage is higher than expected, 19 city, 25 highway.

Looks nice but...
by notahappycmpr ,Dec 14 '04
Pros: Comfortable, roomy, looks nice parked in driveway, compass works well.
Cons: Poor radiator design, gas hog, poor sound system, poor customer service.
I traded in a 1996 Nissan Quest on the Mitsu. Wish I had the Quest back. I had the car three weeks when the radiator was holed. Happened in light traffic on freeway with no debris in sight. There is absolutely no protection in front of radiator with large unprotected grill opening. Otherwise it is comfortable to drive if you can afford the gas and willing to spend $800 every time a stone comes anywhere near the radiator. Mitsubishi claims 21/22 highway, but best we were able to get before car broke down was about 17 on the freeway, AC off with cruise control set below speed limit. Sound system leaves a lot to be desired. The Lincoln Town Car we had to rent (did I mention the lack of parts at the dealer?) to get back from L.A. had much better sound. Sound system is integrated into dash and cannot be upgraded. Does not play MP3 and has problems with CD-R. Interior is a bit noisy with a lot of squeaks in the dash area. Customer service from corporate is almost nonexistent.

Love this SUV!
by lisarisler ,Sep 20 '04
Pros: Value, Looks, Interior dash is TOO COOL, Drive-a-bility! My dream car
Cons: Backing up, GAS PRICES, still can't get the parking right (can't see front end).
I love everything about my SUV. I've owned the Endeavor now for over 6 months and test drove EVERYTHING it seems, and still came back to the first one we test drove - the Mitsu Endeavor. #1, it drives better than anything else we tested. #2, it LOOKS better than anything we tested. #3, the price was RIGHT ON for anything we tested and the DEALERSHIP IS AMAZING - can't go wrong when you have a GREAT service department (that you never seem to need, but hey--it's there if I ever do--and do use them for the FREE Oil Changes! YES!). I paid about $22,000 for the low-end Mitsu that started at $28,000 - maybe they were desperate, but I wouldn't take it for anything more (I am a saleslady at heart, so know how they do things) as the notes would be over my head - it is the most expensive car I've ever driven, but hey, I'm going to KEEP this one for a long time - it's perfect in every way, size wise, styling wise, everything!
