Pros: Drives like a dream, is a great vehicle Cons: none
For the past few years we have been a two Explorer family, at one point owning 1998, and 1999 Ford Explorer XLT vehicles, both 4 wheel drives. We were looking for a change for the 1998 model, but it was hard to break away from our love of Explorers. ...

Pros: Good 4wd.
Competent cornering.
Comfortable Seats.
Alot of room in rear seats.
Cons: Poor Gas mileage for V-6.
Costly.
Has not held resale value as expected.
Overall this is a great vehicle. We live in a very snowy corner of the country. 120"/season on average. The Sport Trac does all that we ask of it and more. On and off road we have had reliable service and pleasant driving in our Ford.

Pros: Versatile, roomy, easy to drive and innovative.
Cons: Originally I thought the pick-up was slow. I just didn't step it down.
I traded my 1988 Toyota 4 X 4 in when I purchased my Sport Trac. I was used to the small truck bed and found that I was not handicapped in hauling the things I need. With the cargo extender my cargo is secure and for longer loads I can move out to the...

Pros: design Cons: fit and finish
I took a Ford Sport Trac for a test drive.
I really like the practicality of the design.
I am considering the Leather group option as well as the sun roof option.
The only consideration with the sun roof is the loss of head room.
I...

Pros: Cargo room and a 5 passenger vehicle. Great standard features.
Cons: Maybe a little rough, but what I expect from and SUV.
My husband and I purchased the Sport Trac as a compromise. He wanted a truck and I wanted an SUV. We have been extremely happy with it. The only problem is that we fight over who gets to drive it. I will mention some of my favorite features:

Pros: Utilitarian Cons: low mpg
The new Sport Trac is an ideal multi utility vehicle. I did however find the bucket seats very uncomfortable. The vertical rise of the side bolsters was too high and sharp. It was like sitting on two rails. My local dealer graciously had the problem...

Pros: Versatility of a truck and the comfort of a family car. Cons: Uses a lot of gas.
My wife and I decided to buy this vehicle because we wanted to have a large four door vehicle, that could fit our whole family, and have the advantage of a truck bed. When we saw the Sport Trac we loved the design. The sporty exterior and the...

Pros: Versatility. Truck benefits with the comfort, convenience and safety of a nice car. Cons: Price, large turning radius, weight
This is my first "non-car" vehicle I've ever owned and I absolutely love it. It was difficult to pay as much for it as I did, but I am very happy with the purchase and would do it again in a heartbeat. It has just over 8000 miles and has never had any...

Pros: sporty new look and feature Cons: space and power
This is a vehicle not for everybody. I do not suggest the purchase of this SUV. The price is kind of high for this quality vehicle. The feel and comfort of this vehicle is very low. This SUV feels like a truck and nothing else. Very little space in...

Pros: The truckbed extends to 5-51/2 ft. with cargo cage. Cons: 15.5 mpg for city, 19 mpg for highway
When I first saw the Sport Trac last summer I thought it was the ugliest thing I'd ever seen. Of course that meant my husband liked it so.....we took it for a test drive. We were very impressed with the way it handled and all the options that you could...

Pros: Comfortable, Ergonomic, versatile Cons: Engineering flaws, gas mileage
I've owned my 2001 Sport Trac for 5 months and I'm about ready to trade it in. It's not a bad vehicle. Actually I like most aspects of it, but there are a couple of quirks that I'm getting really annoyed with. First is its performance going up hills...

Pros: Nice look, cargo cage Cons: Eats gas like nothing I have ever driven before
61000 miles all me. 3 times had to take to dealer for "Check Engine" light on. Finally found small hole in hose for evac system but only after they replaced gas cap and entire gas tank. Luckily still under warranty. A lot of cab noise if all windows...

Pros: EVERYTHING Cons: nothing
The new Ford Explorer Sport Trac has to be one of the coolest cars I have ever seen in my life and my interest in the Trac just doesn't end there. The uses for this new car are unbelievable. It's great because you have the normal setting space like in a...

Pros: Horsepower, look Cons: Small bed
The all new Explorer Sport Trac is Ford's first Sport Utility Truck. The Sport Trac features a four door cab with the utility of a four foot truck bed in the rear. The Explorer Sport Trac is available in two models, 2WD and 4WD. Both come standard with...

Pros: Great looking truck and fun to drive Cons: poor gas mileage and few problems
Have you ever heard of a Ford Explorer Sport Trac? Maybe not, this is a fairly new truck to hit the market. I had purchased a 2001 Sport trac and I really enjoy driving it. This "truck"(some call SUV) is compact enough for every day driving, yet has...
