I was excited to have the opportunity to choose the music that I would wake up to. Unfortunately, I soon found that my cds weren't spinning freely, and were actually getting scratched by the device. I sent the unit back to Sharper Image for repair but the one they returned did exactly the same thing.

The worst part about it was they offered to pay for my shipping costs, but didn't in the end citing some lame technicality. I would recommend you stay clear of this company and it's products.

I use to purchase several products from this cheap gadget company.  When my income was higher I use to go and waste my money on this junk too often, I have 15 to 20 of their products, including this over priced noise machine.  At least half of the merchandise had to be returned at least once due to very poor quality products and this item I returned three times and they even had the nerve to charge me $30.00 for the second return!!!   I STILL USE IT NOW ALTHOUGH THE CONTROLS ARE DEFECTIVE AND DO NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY!

Four or five items from the store were just crap and fell apart and thus had to be tossed into the trash where they belong!

Stay away from Sharper Image products, they are all JUNK!!!

Pros: A little pricey for what it is, but if it works it's worth it.

This is one of the better ways to wake up. I have to wake at regular interval for my baby (has a feeding problem) and this has been amazing. I researched many sites to find advice on being brought gently to life in the early hours and found some stories on five fab mums site about different alarm clocks. This was one of the best.
