AJ Madison

Although I have not made my order yet, I did speak with Artie about making an order. My order (if made) will cost $6751.00, with free shipping and no sales tax. Artie seemed to be a very knowledgeable person and was eager to help and provide information.
However, after reading these reviews, I am now very reluctant to do business with AJ Madison with fear that once I hand over almost $7k, I might get ripped off, not receive my 6 high-end appliances and disposer by the time my cabinets are installed or receive something damaged or non-working and not have any recourse.
I will follow-up with more details if I decide to order. All I know is that when comparing the prices with Home Depot or Lowes, I will save about $2500 if AJ Madison is ligitimate.

Very dissatisfied with AJ Madison. The initial order was placed by fax and we did not receive any kind of confirmation. After 6 or more attempts to contact the company and receive order status we received a curt email two weeks later saying that the company does not deliver to our specific Canadian province (BC). Their FAQ says they deliver to Canada. This makes no sense. AJ Madison is _not_ a retailer I would recommend to anyone.

We recently Purchased the Appliances for my Kitchen at AJ Madison Appliances. In addition to the Very Helpful Sales Staff, delivery was as promised and prices were the best we were able to find. Highly Recommended.

I purchased a dishwasher hassle free, over the phone, next day delivery with knowledgeable helpful staff and pleasant delivery men. The best part is that the dishwasher works excellently, very quietly and efficiently and my dishes come out sparkling clean. What more can I ask??!!!

Calling to speak to AJ Madison customer service is a very big hassle. You have to leave a message, no matter what time you call, and you get placed on hold forever before you can even do that. The option to bypass the holding time and simply just leave a message does not work. It's difficult to get a call back from them. I had to get a manager from the sales department to pursuade someone to call me back about a damaged shipment. Once I did that, they were very cooperative and helpful.

When I wrote my first review the other day, I was very frustrated with my experience with AJ Madison. After my refrigerator had arrived damaged and with parts missing, I felt AJ Madison's responsiveness was insufficient.

Fortunately, I did get two phone calls from them yesterday and today I learned a new fridge, an exchange, is on the way. As a result, I think it's fair to change my rating so it reflects a more favorable overall experience.

I do still recommend that the company improve their phone system as their wait times are unacceptable.

Having researched several major appliances prior to purchasing, I decided to go with A J Madison based on their 'white glove next day' delivery. I guess they were just trying to close the sale, because their speedy delivery for which I paid extra turned out to be a week later. Customer service couldn't have cared less. I tried to cancel the order and they refused. When my items eventually arrived, the refrigerator doors were backwards and the delivery men wanted more money. AVOID THIS COMPANY.

I had a great experience with AJ Madison from start to finish. My salesperson, Solomon was courteous and went out of his way to make sure that I received my range before Thanksgiving. In fact it was delivered in 4 business days. I was able to track the delivery status online and the delivery person was pleasant and helpful. Add the great price (much below list), no tax and no shipping and I don't think I could've done any better anywhere else. I will definitely buy from AJ Madison again and will tell my friends about their great service.

If your order arrives in good condition, AJ Madison is OK. However, if by chance you have an issue, you'll regret that you chose to deal with them. I ordered a wine cooler from AJ Madison. The order arrived damaged. The door frame was shattered, the body dented and scratched, and parts were falling off. The box was not damaged. Initially, I requested a replacement. AJ Madison insisted on sending out a repairman to replace the damaged parts. I refused since I ordered a new cooler. Dealing with their customer service department is an infuriating experience. The company is staffed with mentally challenged, rude people who act like they're doing you a favor. The chief moron that I spoke with agreed to refund my money. When I asked when it would be refunded, he screamed, "Three weeks ago, OK? You're a tough guy, eh?" Apparently, he was a victim of school yard bullies and is still trying to overcome this trauma. After many phone calls and e-mails, I'm still waiting for a refund and for someone to pick up the damaged unit.

Very negative experience, I will never do business with again. Poor information from the customer service associates in regard to delivery dates and times. Lack of follow up from associates, promises made and not delivered upon. Specifically from Hindy, Hanna, & Philys. Received an answering machine during business hours, left message, and never received a phone call back.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH!

I recently purchased a refrigerator and stove from AJ Madison. My experience with this company was excellent and I will purchase from this company again. My order was delivered earlier than expected and the employee who answers the phone was very pleasant to work with. I did read up on other reviews for this company before placing my order and I do agree that this is a great company to work with. They have very competitive pricing and quick shipping (the delivery personnel was very helpful as well - even bringing the appliances into our home for no extra charge!). If you want to avoid the inexperienced sales people in the stores attempting to sell you things that you do not need and/or want (at inflated prices), then I would do your research on what you want to purchase and order it from AJ Madison!

My shopping experience over at AJ Madison was truly satisfactory. Delivery time was very reasonable. As for customer service, well, I think they are the best, helpful, quick, pleasant and aiming to satisfied the customer. Overall satisfaction is A1+.

This company has terrible customer service, don't shop from them. I ordered a microwave oven from AJ Madision. When it arrived it did not work at all. When I called customer service they made returning it very difficult. They wanted a technician to fix it instead. New products should not require fixing. Then they threatened to charge a 50 percent fee, on top of the 15 percent restocking fee because I opened the box--this is not stated anywhere in their return policy. They may have good pricing, but you will certainly bear the cost if you need to contact customer service.

Merchandise arrived damaged and dented all over. AJ Madison refused to take responsibility for it and so I am stuck with it.

I live on an island , off of an island, and when I ordered a washer, dryer and dishwasher, I was assured that delivery was included in the price. When a problem arose over the ferry cost to the second island, AJMadison took care of it promptly , and with no fuss. It was a pleasure doing business with them.
